What we found most impressive or unique about this agency was their expertise, creativity, and passion. They had a team of highly skilled and experienced developers who knew how to use the best frameworks and technologies for our project. They also had a team of creative designers who came up with innovative ideas and solutions for our app’s features and functions. They were passionate about their work and showed enthusiasm and dedication throughout the project.
What most struck us about Vinova was their proficiency in three critical areas: thorough IT expertise, committed project management, and prompt and effective communication. Their group has continuously shown to be knowledgeable and competent, which makes them an excellent partner for any project involving IT.
What impressed me most was that Vinova took the project personally and treated our company like theirs. We were teammates working to build the app/company together. Our project manager was amazing. He would challenge my thinking, but always respectfully.

What Users Like The Least

There were not many areas for improvement or things they could have done differently. However, one thing we would suggest is to have more frequent meetings with us to discuss the project’s progress and challenges. Sometimes we felt that we were not fully informed or involved in some aspects of the project. We would have appreciated more transparency and communication from their side.
Nothing needed improvement that we could detect.
To be honest, I don’t have anything substantial for them to improve.

The project entailed: UX/UI design, branding design, web development, mobile-web development, various third-party integrations, tons of testing, a full-fledged Content Management System

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

The workflow between our team and Vinova required a lot of understanding, patience and creativity with proactive solutions. Utility always rose to the challenge and was able to move quickly, with deadlines always fast-approaching. They also always kept a level head and never freaked out over any changes that ever came up -- always calm and proactive about keeping on task. They were also super clean with all their code, as the code reviews were also super positive.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

No one is perfect, but Utility does truly seem to have their act together. They even were extra fair with pricing when we needed some flexibility as the project evolved. They went above and beyond to exceed their expectations and ours. We have no complaints and would work with them again, and encourage others to do so.

Vinova developed the first alpha version of our software and continued to work on multiple beta versions. We've recently pushed out the first version for both iOS and Android. They've helped us write blog posts for the release. In total, we've developed 15 versions on iOS and 12 versions for Android. We work as a startup, so we're very fast-paced, and Vinova has adapted to our pace.

We're very happy with their team. A collaboration of this kind is a two-way conversation. When starting to work with someone, it's important to know how to use them. Both our teams have been flexible, and we've been able to reach results quickly.

Describe your project in brief

There was a lot of coding involved in making our solution commercially available, like automated push notifications, which is where Vinova was involved. We are developing a growth automation tool. By running it, it can automatically grow an app for its publisher. A good knowledge of iOS and Android architectures was required. The last thing we wanted to do was to make a product that would crash someone else's app. It's not uncommon to have tens of millions of users for an app, but our code will be featured in hundreds of millions, so it's crucial that it works well without crashing. We wrote the code so that it would be adaptive to its environment. If it's used in poor wireless conditions, it can adapt and send smaller data packets. When it connects to Wi-Fi, it can send the rest of the data.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

They initially looked at our product and saw that it could be beneficial for a lot of their other customers who were struggling with analyzing their data. Vinova has a sister company to which they introduced our software without being asked. Helping a customer improve the quality of their product will make the relationship better, and Vinova has seen this in our solution.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

We're fairly happy with our iOS engineer. There was an incident that led that person to want to quit, but we really liked him, so Vinova was able to retain him. This happened right before the release, so we didn't want to make any changes. We also provided some feedback about an engineer, so they offered to replace him and also have a transitional overlap of around four weeks, at no additional cost. In other words, we came to have not one but two engineers working for us.

Vinova has executed a successful build and exceeded my navigation and functionality expectations. Our goal is for the app to help manage day-to-day service planning and product positioning, and Vinova has enabled the app to create reports to help drive this initiative. Secondly, we want to ensure that customers find the app acceptable and useful in assisting them with on-farm planning, so we’re looking forward to testing that feature. During the development phase, they worked in two-week sprints, which enabled us to perform user acceptance testing (UAT) in between each delivery. It took the team some time to understand the application and its intent, but their speed picked up as they ramped up their knowledge. They beat the overall timeline that we set during the scoping process. Overall, they completed a total of 11 sprints and delivered results more quickly than we expected, which was great.

The product has yet to launch, however we have been able to create a powerful product that will fully release in the next month. The team at Vinova has kept me informed of the product timeline throughout the entire process, and kept me up to date on any changes whether good or bad. They even completed several features ahead of schedule. We set a hard launch date a month or two in advance that they have honored and kept us on pace to meet.

When reporting issues or bugs to their development teams, they often have a fix or solution in place within 24-48 hours.

The project started with a two week strategy sprint to develop our idea for the product, into a platform with a clear identity and value proposition.

Once the idea for the platform (Vinova) was conceived, we conducted a competitive analysis, set of user interviews, created a low tech prototype, and lastly conducted usability tests over the course of a few weeks to better understand the industry landscape and what travelers want.

With the results from these tests, we honed the idea further and developed a GTM strategy and ideation for the MVP. We then engaged in design work over the next few months and mapped out the application and its initial prodcut features.

Lastly, was the development stage which lasted around 2 months. Through this time period, we have tested the product features we created and prepared for a soft launch, and a full release of the MVP (slated for Nov 2024). This included collaborating on product testing, bug fixes, and ideating on future product features.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

Their ability to quickly pivot and implement change is impressive. There have been several instances where issues have come up (whether in design or development) and we need to implement a quick, scalable solution that won't delay development, or compromise our user experience. Time and time again, their team has assured that we meet our goals and never sacrifice quality even in moments of uncertainty.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

Vinova always stayed within the budget range we received, but they could have done a better job keeping us up to date on where we were currently at as far as costs go.

They’ve provided us with an excellent, high-quality solution.

Our collaboration with Vinova was our last chance to get our product back on track. The app is live in stores, but we haven’t done any marketing for it, as we’re still testing it in a live setting. We had some bad experiences with our initial development provider, so we engaged Vinova to take over. They took over development from the existing code, and they’ve added a number of features to the app. The app is being developed natively for iOS and Android.

The app itself is intended for professional athletes. It gives them a range of opportunities, but the key feature is through booking themselves. They can participate in or coach events, visit schools, lead fundraisers, or attend parties.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

They understand the scope of our project better than anyone has. They provide great communication, and they stand out in terms of overall management and execution.

Singapore Chinese Orchestra Digital Archives

Inaugurated in 1997, Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) is Singapore's only professional national Chinese orchestra

Currently with more than 80 musicians, SCO promotes Chinese traditions, curates contemporary commissioned musical pieces, as well as performs compositions that inscribed an uniquely Singaporean signature in its repertoires.
